A case for civility in the public square

New York Times columnist, Nicholas Kristof, gives some thoughts about how Christians can engage in political debates, while maintaining civility toward those on the opposite side. The talk is taken from a recent event organised by Redeemer Center for Faith and Work.

Christian faith demands a high view of human beings. If Christians are indeed called to compassionately steward our respective polities, then we are also called to a kind of civic engagement that wisely assesses our state of affairs with the type of nuance that transcends a liberal/conservative divide.
